Environment: XP, IIS 5.1, FASTCGI, PHP 5.3
Problem: accessing a php page in browser downloads it (chrome)/shows PHP code(IE)
Solution: renaming php.ini to php-cgi-fcgi.ini solved it
Thanks for the solution.
Though earlier it worked on another system (same environment) with "php.ini"
