Actually the implementation of cyrus dot drive at gmail dot com below will not work, because the
writer and reader properties only have meaning per request and don't live on to the next
request. This is also not shared with other processes (or threads). Only true POSIX mutexes and
conditions will work, but that you need to extend on PHP yourself, which is doable!
