The provided link is OK for installing rabbitmq-c and rabbitmq-codegen on your system. But these
extensions aren't the same. This here is the documentation for an object-oriented PHP extension
that supports AMQP protocol 0.9.1 (used by RabbitMQ 2.*) and resides at http://pecl.php.net/package/amqp, while his comment
directs you to a different extension, which supports only AMQP 0.8 and provides function interface
only.
