You don't need to recompile it. You can just use file_put_contents instead, which is much
easier
E.g.
$contents = file_get_contents($file);
file_put_contents('ftps://' . $user . ':' . $pass . '@' . $server .
':' . $port . '/' . pathinfo($file,PATHINFO_BASENAME),$contents);
