As stated above: "As of PHP 5.1.0, the CLI SAPI provides an interactive shell using the -a
option if PHP is compiled with the --with-readline option."
The Readline extension says it isn't available on windows: http://www.php.net/manual/en/intro.readline.php
Readline itself, is available for windows: http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/readline.htm
So, if I can compile the extension on a windows machine against this version of the Readline
library, then the interactive mode for the CLI should work, right? I don't know, but
that's what I'm going to try.
