It states that when you install php 5.3+ on linux, that the libraries are already installed for MySQL. This is extremely misleading, and has caused me quite a bit of frustration. Either if you install via a repository (ie don't compile from source) or it's an Ubuntu/Debian thing, but either way my install does NOT have these libraries included already. Just thought I'd put that out there, thought there should really be a note of that somewhere and hopefully this saves somebody else a head ache as well. ---- Server IP: 69.147.83.197 Probable Submitter: 24.77.237.82 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/mysql.installation.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/106049 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/106049/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/106049/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/106049/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/106049/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/106049/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/106049/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/106049 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/106049 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
