bjtjong at home dot nl describes a way to open any file as an email (unix mbox format) by just
placing the file name in the mailbox parameter.
some recent version if uw_imap seems to limit it from accessing arbitrary paths, still works fine
for the user's home directory, and subdirectories and symlinks from there.
