Pay attention to the fact that installing php-apc package gives you APC version 3.1.3p1, which is
according to http://pecl.php.net/package/APC UNSTABLE.
If you want the latest STABLE edition (3.1.9 by now), you should use 'sudo pecl install
apc' instead.
