Note Submitter: josh at servebyte dot com ---- This extension is terrible. It randomly works and some things never work at all. I have spent many days trying to work around the problems but when I got to the complex SSH commands, this extension became useless. For example, if you try to echo a this text to a file in SSH, some letters will be missing. It especially messes up with multiline text. I've tried base64 commands, EVERYTHING. It's so useless! ssh2_exec randomly works, sometimes hangs, sometimes doesn't execute the command, sometimes does nothing. ssh2_shell doesn't parse commands right. You end up with obfuscated commands and missing input. Save yourself time and use phpseclib. It worked out the box for me.
