I recently wrote a class for resizing Animated GIF images using GD Image Library because some
servers doesn't support imagemagick. The process is :
1. Split the animation into frames
2. Resize the images using imagecopyresized
3. Combine the resized images.
But it doesn't end here. You should keep transparency, delay times, disposal methods etc.
intact. That's the hard part because you need to study the file structure well.
You can find this class at this page: http://www.phpclasses.org/package/7353-PHP-Resize-animations-in-files-of-the-GIF-format.html
