It took me a while, but I was able to make a pretty consolidated install procedure for PHP apps on
IIS 7. This also sets the IIS application pool identity for connection purposes to a domain user.
The procedure:
Download the Visual C Redistributables for your PHP install (I used version 9) and name as
vcredist_x86.exe and vcredist_x64.exe (you only need the x64 ones if you're on 64 bit windows
with 64 bit libraries. Otherwise, it's skippable)
Download the SQL Native Client (skippable if you are not connecting to a SQL database) and name as
sqlnix86.msi and sqlnix64.msi
Note: when you download any of the above files, they won't have the x86 and x64 designations -
I added those so that they wouldn't conflict with each other.
Put these files in a folder.
In that same folder, extract your desired PHP configuration to a folder "php" and edit the
INI as appropriate. (As described in the documentation here)
In the same folder, place your code in "MyApp" (actually, you'll want to use a better
name. But I have to pick something by way of example)
So, in the deployment folder you'll have 4 EXE files, two folders. The two folders are
"php" and "MyApp".
Now, create a batch file and use the code at the following URL for the contents:
http://codepad.org/kRzUf3mw
(Necessary because I can't make lengthy comments)
