Hi!
I don't understand, are there some known troubles with this function?
Here is a VERY basic script (php 5.3.8 with wamp server):
<?php
$to = 'xxxxxxxxxx'; 'my real email
$subject = 'le sujet';
$message = 'Bonjour !';
$headers = 'From: webmaster@example.com' . "\r\n".'Reply-To:
webmaster@example.com'."\r\n".'X-Mailer: PHP/' . phpversion();
ini_set("SMTP","smtp.orange.fr");
ini_set("smtp_port","25");
mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers);
?>
And here is what I get(?????):
Warning: mail() [function.mail]: Failed to connect to mailserver at "smtp.orange.fr" port
25, verify your "SMTP" and "smtp_port" setting in php.ini or use ini_set()
I have to say, I already checked the smtp, and no problem to connect with a basic TELNET
session.....
So what the hell?
Any information would be appreciated ;-)
Thanks.
See ya.
