If the documentation doesn't match the behavior of the language, then this is a bug which needs
to be reported and and dealt with by "them" by either fixing the language to behave as the
documentation states, or change the documentation to reflect the exceptions and in which version(s)
they exist.
Given that we're probably both right for at least some version of PHP ... which doesn't
help with people sharing PHP code all over the place :-)
