if you do this:
printf('<a href="http://www.adcritic.com/">%s</a>\n',"hi");
You will get:
<a href="http://www.adcritic.com/">Hi</a>\n
A literal "\n", not a carriage return. If you swap the single and double quotes, it works
as expected.
