Note Submitter: zygmunt.kischel ---- Folks, I got trouble to get PHP to connect with a MS SQL DB. The environment is a - Win 2008 R2 - SQL 2008 R2 with - IIS - PHP 5.4.6 and 5.3.6 I did follow the instructions coming across with the SQLSRV 3.0 download I copied the driver dll file made changes to extensions in php.ini but all without a positive result on phpinfo() after scanning a couple of blogs and installing SQL server Client tools etc. I used the Microsoft Web Platform to install php through that. It installs version 5.3.13 and it has the SQL driver already within the ext directory. And it worked from scratch. The one and only difference I see is that the dll name is php_sqlsrv.dll and not like php_sqlsrv_53_nts.dll Does the name make trouble? I was not able to sort that out.
