note 110011 added to function.number-format

The description here refers to "groups of thousands" which is understandable if you already understand what it means, but I think the better phrase might be "groups of 3 digits". It is only occasionally and incidentally that those groups of 3 are actually referring to thousands. And the ensuing discussion about other types of groupings might certainly be clarified by not using the term "thousands". ---- Server IP: 69.147.83.197 Probable Submitter: 98.110.33.9 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.number-format.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/110011 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110011/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110011/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110011/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110011/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110011/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110011/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110011 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/110011 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
