To avoid data loss (problem with '\r\n') you can convert string to array and serialize an
array.
Example:
<?php
//Store data:
$array = explode('\r\n', $string);
$serialized = serialize($array);
//Restore data:
$array = unserialize($serialized);
$text = implode('\r\n', $array);
?>
