when connecting with ssh2_auth_password (connection, username, password), if you don't use a
constant for the password you will get an authentication failure. i tried casting as a string,
putting in single and double quotes, etc.
i tried passing the password straight from mysql and couldn't. you'll spend hours trying
to figure this simple thing out, so you're stuck with using hard coded password strings for
now.
