If you are new to use chmod() on Linux, at the beginning of use chmod() you may just get www-data. The mode can be changed only by user who owns the file on most systems. so it is okay, you should change your current user; The current user is the user under which PHP runs. In my OS(ubuntu, linux): It located in /etc/apache2/envvars To change, log in as root and edit this one:export APACHE_RUN_USER=www-data to your user name. you can also use sudo for solving this problem. ---- Server IP: 69.147.83.199 Probable Submitter: 37.98.64.98 ---- Manual Page -- http://php.net/manual/en/function.chmod.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/110919 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110919/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110919/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110919/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110919/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110919/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110919/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110919 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/110919 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
