I don't know if it is hidden feature or not, but it was discovered during school lesson when one child wrote by mistake this string and used commas for concatenation. This example seems to work as for PHP 5.2, and output looks like Dear John Smith! Huh, this date 2012-12-27 looks good for you! <?php $name = 'John Smith!'; echo 'Dear ' , $name , ' Huh, this date ' , date('Y-m-d') , ' ', looks . ' good for you!'; ?> ---- Server IP: 69.147.83.199 Probable Submitter: 91.213.119.254 ---- Manual Page -- http://php.net/manual/en/language.operators.string.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/110938 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110938/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110938/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110938/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110938/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110938/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110938/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/110938 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/110938 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
