Using non-alphanumeric characters in your session name, basically, turns session_name() into session_destroy(). This one had me stumped for a half a day, I even thought my PHP install was configured incorrectly. But it was just me being dense. It is obvious if you read the parameters section above, but it didn't register for me initially. So to clarify, do not use any spaces (cough), underscores, dashes, etc. in your session name. Letters and numbers and that's it. ---- Server IP: 64.71.164.2 Probable Submitter: 166.152.77.88 ---- Manual Page -- http://php.net/manual/en/function.session-name.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/111155 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/111155/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/111155/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/111155/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/111155/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/111155/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/111155/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/111155 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/111155 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
