Hi!
I am happy to see PEAR which seems to be based on the same objective as what I have developed and
been doing since 1999 called PFC(PHP Foundation Class)
Library. This code is totally based on PHP and no other module is to be compiled and added to the
php source to run it.
Currently, I have developed several library classes listed below, which migh help other developers.
1. PTable
2. PIconbar, PTitleBar, PMenuBar
3. PMail
4. PCalendar
5. PFile, PHTML
6. miscellaneous classes to support
classes from 1 - 5.
7. Oracle DB connection
It looks very similar to MFC programming if you just see the PHP code you write with this PFC
Library.
For example, the index.php of my web site (http://satriani.wo.to/) would look like :
<?php
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
// _INDEX_PHP_2000_11_13_
// File : index.php
// Last Update : 2000.11.13
// Description : home page file
//
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
require $DOCUMENT_ROOT."/lib/php/pfc/pfc.php";
_LIB_("pfcbase.php");
_LIB_("doc/doc.php");
_LIB_("com/com.php");
_LIB_("com/table.php");
_LIB_("com/titlebar.php");
_LIB_("com/calendar.php");
_LIB_("sys/file.php");
_LIB_("sys/html.php");
require "headertable.php";
require "toolbartable.php";
require "bodytable.php";
// my document
class PMySingleDocument Extends PSingleDocument
{
var $mtb_HeaderTable;
var $mtb_BodyTable;
function PMySingleDocument($ab_DefaultDraw = TRUE)
{
// creating classes for each
// part of the screen
$this->mtb_HeaderTable = new PHeaderTable();
$this->mtb_ToolbarTable = new PToolbarTable();
$this->mtb_BodyTable = new PBodyTable();
$this->SetTitle("Welcome to Youngin's Home...");
// draw this document
$this->PSingleDocument($ab_DefaultDraw);
}
function DrawBody()
{
// body draws header table and body table and what they draw are all defined in Draw()
function of those classes
$this->mtb_HeaderTable->Draw();
$this->mtb_BodyTable->Draw();
}
};
$doc = new PMySingleDocument();
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
// _INDEX_PHP_2000_11_13_
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
?>
