If I want to connect to memcached only to the remote server running memcached (and not to localhost)
then do I still need to install 'memcached' in the client machine along with
php5-memcached?
I have installed only "apt-get install php5-memcached" in my webserver where I have all my
PHP codes and I have installed only the 'apt-get install memcached' on the remote
memcached server. I am failing to connect from my webserver to the memcached server using this
configuration. I was wondering if I need to install 'memcached' no matter what even on my
webserver... Anyone?
