It's not possible to find strings containing double quotes using this function. For example, if you got a message named : Hello, this is "Bob" You can try : imap_search($inbox, 'SUBJECT "Hello, this is "Bob""') Or imap_search($inbox, "SUBJECT 'Hello, this is \"Bob\"'") But both are false, because you did not escape double quotes in the first case, and you can NOT use simple quotes in the imap_search criteria in the second case. The real problem is that you cannot use simple quotes to surround your criteria in the 2nd argument of imap_search, after SUBJECT. ---- Server IP: 69.147.83.199 Probable Submitter: 217.128.57.240 ---- Manual Page -- http://php.net/manual/en/function.imap-search.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/112343 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/112343/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/112343/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/112343/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/112343/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/112343/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/112343/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/112343 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/112343 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
