Examples :

$string = strip_tags($string,'<a><i><b>');

$string = strip_tags($string,'<a>,<i>,<b>');
<br>
Both forms of allowable_tags will strip out all HTML tags from $string except <a> <i>
and <b>. Use of , is discouraged.
