The example that demonstrates the use of a constant appears to be inaccurate: <?php /* use the constants in the format parameter */ // prints something like: Mon, 15 Aug 2005 15:12:46 UTC echo date(DATE_RFC822); ?> This actually prints something like the following: Wed, 25 Sep 13 17:56:44 -0400 (notice that the last segment is the timezone *offset*, not the timezone abbreviation, as the comment in the example states). However, the manual entry is correct (only the example is incorrect). ---- Server IP: 69.147.83.199 Probable Submitter: 50.75.172.235 ---- Manual Page -- http://php.net/manual/en/function.date.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/113317 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/113317/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/113317/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/113317/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/113317/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/113317/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/113317/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/113317 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/113317 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
