I had problems installing on Redhat 7.0 and 7.1. The php make install copied and modified the
libphp.a file into the apache directory. It renamed this file to libmodphp.a
When I tried to make apache with libmodphp.a it failed as it couldn't find header files.
I copied the original file libphp.a into the apache directory (src/modules/php/) and reconfigured
and remade apache. This worked, the original libphp.a file seemed to have a lot more included header
directories in the gcc compile statement, primarily it included a reference to the actual
php/include directory which the libmodphp.a didn't.
I don't know why libphp.a was modified to libmodphp.a with certain include statements removed,
I can only assume it is to try and improve performance or remove dependencies for php upgrades?
Hope this helps someone and make sense.
Dave
