JDK1.4 RC is out, here are my Windows settings that make the Java extension work:
extension=php_java.dll
[Java]
java.class.path = c:\php\java\php_java.jar
java.home = d:\jdk1.4\jre
java.library = d:\jdk1.4\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll
I have not tested (yet) whether installing just the JRE works; for servlet support w/ Tomcat you do
need JDK since Tomcat needs tools.jar that is not part of JRE.
