Re Solaris
I was able to compile PHP 5.0.4 under Solaris 2.6 but I had to use gcc to do it. The source is not
compatible with the Solaris C preprocessor. I did not have to install any of the gnu utilities (like
sed etc) to get it to compile. It clean compiled & linked immediately using gcc 3.3.2.
