Since my comment from 12-Jul-2004 02:42 with <? function array_merge_php4() ?> was deleted and
the complex one added by Barpfotenbaer (09-Jul-2005 06:33), - here is the simpler and faster
solution:

function array_merge_php4($array1, $array2) {
foreach ($args = func_get_args() as &$arg) {
$arg = (array)$arg;
}
return call_user_func_array('array_merge',$args);
}
?>
