A simple solution to the return-path problem:
- In php.ini:
sendmail_path=sendmail -ti $PHP_SENDMAILPARAMS
- Restart your server.
- Edit your php script:
putenv("PHP_SENDMAILPARAMS=-f{$USER}@{$DOMAIN}");
To suppress the X-authentication header, add the user apache is running as to the sendmail trusted
users. (RedHat users should use linuxconf to add user 'nobody' to 'Trusted
users' in 'Basic Sendmail configuration')
