note 114749 added to mysqli.construct

Note that on all >=Windows 7 Servers, a host name "localhost" will create a very expensive lookup (~1 Second). That's because since Windows 7, the hosts file doesn't come with a preconfigured 127.0.0.1 localhost anymore So, if you notice a long connection creation, try "127.0.0.1" instead. ---- Server IP: 72.52.91.14 Probable Submitter: 91.55.133.174 ---- Manual Page -- http://php.net/manual/en/mysqli.construct.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/114749 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/114749/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/114749/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/114749/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/114749/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/114749/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/114749/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/114749 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/114749 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
