This function works really well. I had (have) no idea what format
$weirddate = 45729-12-20T00:00:00.000+00:00
could be, but a speculative
$datetoshow = date("Y-m-d", strtotime("$weirddate"))
Returned a usable date and could obviously be used to give the date in whatever format you need.
