settype($var,"array");
I have found this to be inconsistent
across different Unix/Linux platforms,
not with PHP versions.
Here is the error I'm getting. The
array should be empty, however the
first element is set to NULL.
$var => Array
(
[0] = // NOTHING....
)
I have found this problem to be true
using a RedHat linux running PHP
4.0.5. It doesn't happen using Solaris
Unix with the same version of PHP.
I also run SuSE Linux with PHP 4.0.5 at
home and the problem is nonexistent.
Another one of my web servers runs
DeBain Linux with PHP 4.0.5 and
everything is fine there as well.
I am lead to believe that the problem
is with RedHat's support libraries for
the PHP binary.
I don't know if this will help anyone,
but this is what I have found...
