To enable PHP with:
sudo vi /private/etc/apache2/httpd.conf
Can not save modifications, it shows [RO] read only always.
But this works:
sudo -e /private/etc/apache2/httpd.conf
To enable http://localhost/~<username>/
$ mkdir ~/Sites
$ sudo vi /etc/apache2/users/<username>.conf
insert following lines:
<Directory "/Users/<username>/Sites/">
Options Indexes MultiViews
AllowOverride All
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory>
