The bcsqrt function is very handy for finding the square root of numbers in the form of strings.
//EXAMPLE:
<?php
$arr = array(
"one" => "20",
"two" => "12"
);
echo bcsqrt($arr["one"], 3);
//OUTPUT: 4.472
