I had that same problem with Mod_PHP, RH 6.1 and Apache.
The problem was the difference in Regular expression libraries. I believe it says in the
documentation that if you install PHP as a module, the regular expressions used by PHP and Apache
have to be the same.
If you installed it with the SYSTEM REGEX libraries then those little incompatibilities occure. (I
believe those are Perl REGEXs)
