Actually, English is a clever language and has roots from the Greek language. The reason why
"pterodactyl" starts with a "p", is because the word Pterodactylus originates
from the Greek ÏÏεÏοδάκÏÏ
Î»Î¿Ï (pterodaktulos), meaning
"winged finger" and the "p" is from the word Greek word "ptero"
(wing). So there you go :)
