Note Submitter: info822 at freshsoftware dot net ---- If you are receiving a "Call to undefined function geoip_record_by_name()" error message after running "pecl install geoip" and/or "yum install geoip*" and you have added "extension=geoip.so" to the "php.ini" file try removing "extension=geoip.so" from your "php.ini" file and adding a separate "geoip.ini" file with "extension=geoip.so" the new ini file in a separate config directory by adding '--with-config-file-scan-dir=/etc/dir/dir/geoip.ini' to your PHP ./configure command.
