hello, it seems, that you have error in your email validation.
your validation is agreed with "someone@somewhere". Ant it disagreed with
"someone@somewhere.somehow.com"
My version is based on yours, but with little changes:
eregi("^[_a-z0-9-]+(\.[_a-z0-9-]+)*@[_a-z0-9-]+(\.[_a-z0-9-]+)*(\.([a-z]{2,3}))+$",$email)
