From Example#2: Alternate Way to reflect changes in global scope.
Example#2 used $GLOBALS["var2"] =& $var1; to make change visible in global scope.
But we can also do following to access $var2 in global scope:
$var2 = $var1;
In this way $var2 will be accessable in global scope.
