In regards to http://php.net/manual/en/language.oop5.typehinting.php#103729
, when using PHP in Eclipse, the best way to typehint is already available in Eclipse natively.
The format is /* @var $variable ObjectName */
The single /* is important. You can also use namespaces, IE
/* @var $variable \Some\Namespace */
In short, there is no reason to create functions that return itself.
