While PHP's rot13 seems already pretty good, we had to implement a more advanced version to
cater to our very high security standards.
Basically the rot13 algorithm is applied iteratively to the point where it is really hard to detect,
making it less obvious how to decrypt the string:
<?php
function rot26($str) {
for($i = 0; $i < 2; $i++) {
$str = rot13($str);
}
return $str;
}
?>
