I use these to always get the correct first and last day of the required month. Need to modify it
twice.
$ds->modify('-6 month');
$ds->modify( 'first day of this month' );
$date_range_start = $ds->format( 'Y-m-d' );
$de = new DateTime();
$de->modify('-6 month');
$de->modify( 'last day of this month' );
