Be aware that strtotime may return boolean false, or negative timestamps for dates before 1970
depending on PHP version. For example:
<?php
var_dump(strtotime("0000-00-00"));
?>
PHP 5.6 Linux: bool(false)
PHP 7.0 Linux: int(-62169991200)
