While trying to get PHP 7.0.10 to run command-line scripts on Windows 7 Pro, using "php -f myScript.php" or "php myScript.php" as commands, only the contents of the script (including comments) were output to the console. Most other 'scripting' languages do not require the entire body of the script to be 'packaged'. But with PHP it is necessary to add "<?php" and "?>" at the top and bottom of the file, respectively, to yield the expected output from the script. ---- Server IP: 72.52.91.14 Probable Submitter: 70.91.229.9 ---- Manual Page -- http://php.net/manual/en/install.windows.commandline.php Edit -- https://master.php.net/note/edit/119989 Del: integrated -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/119989/integrated Del: useless -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/119989/useless Del: bad code -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/119989/bad+code Del: spam -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/119989/spam Del: non-english -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/119989/non-english Del: in docs -- https://master.php.net/note/delete/119989/in+docs Del: other reasons-- https://master.php.net/note/delete/119989 Reject -- https://master.php.net/note/reject/119989 Search -- https://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
