Note Submitter: foo at bar dot baz ---- Remember that the underlying library (libiconv) is basically not maintained anymore. While this extension will regardless continue to work for a long time since encodings rarely get changed, it is probably a better idea using mbstring and ICU (ext/intl) for new code, which are both regularly maintained and updated with newest standards. These two extensions can replace iconv entirely.
