This function does not work as expected with characters from non-English alphabets (I only tested it
with scandinavian letters, åäö => ÅÄÖ). It leaves them as lowercase.
Someone already commented that the function doesn't work on html entities, which is somewhat
understandable. This bug however takes place before I convert the strings to html.
