With IE and FF, session_start() appears to stop form values being preserved when the user browses
'back' to a page (I'm using SBS2K3 IIS6 PHP5.1.1).
For example if you set some hidden form values from javascript in one page, then navigate to another
page and come back using the browsers back button, the form values should be preserved. But this
does not happen when your your form page uses session_start().
The following seems to sort this out nicely:
session_cache_limiter('public');
session_start();
