Basic configuration to htaccess
In the project's root directory, put a .htaccess file with:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^ index.php [QSA,L]
And in the non-public sub directories, put a .htaccess file with:
Deny From All
